3rd Annual Kevin Gobrecht NSCBBA Challenge

The NSCBBA is pleased to announce the date and time for the 3rd Annual Kevin Gobrecht NSCBBA Challenge. The event is being held in conjunction with the Kevin Gobrecht Memorial Fund, and in accordance with the Gobrecht family and Lincoln Speedway.

On Saturday, June, 27th beginning at 2:30 p.m. the NSCBBA will be hosting a bean bag toss tournament, featuring 64 contestants, which will be played on the infield grass at Lincoln Speedway, prior to the opening PA Speedweek show, scheduled at 7:30 that evening. All of the proceeds and donations for the event will be presented to the Gobrecht family, later that evening.

Tickets to the event are currently on sale for $25, which covers your entrance to the tournament festivities and admission to the race. All of the money collected from admission to the tournament, beyond the cost of admission to the race, is considered a donation. There are a number of ways to enter the tournament. There is a sign up sheet in the Lincoln Speedway Office, there is also a sign-up thread on the Lincoln Speedway Message Board, or you may inquire with any of the NSCBBA members that you might see. Pre-entry to the event is required and the entry deadline is Saturday, June 21st. Only 64 competitors will be allowed to sign up for this event and it is first come, first serve. Anyone is eligible to participate that is 15 years of age or older. Don’t be surprised to see a few of your drivers in attendance. We look forward to an even larger turnout than last year.

You could win a ride in the Lincoln Speedway Pace Car during the 2009 PA Speedweek Opener or the opportunity to be the Honorary Flagmen at the start of the A-main. Raffle tickets are now on sale at Lincoln Speedway, for the chance to drop the green flag for the 10th Annual Kevin Gobrecht Memorial feature event, on June 27th. Second prize will receive a ride in the Lawrence Chevrolet pace car before the green flag drops.

Winners will be determined in a random drawing conducted at the conclusion of the 3nd Annual NSCBBA Gobrecht Challenge, which will be held at Lincoln earlier that afternoon. Tickets will be on sale until the end of hot-laps, on June 27th. You must be present to win. Admission requires that contestants be 18 years of age, or older. After your winning number is drawn, you will need to report to the speedway office, with the winning ticket in hand, for further instructions.

All proceeds from the raffle benefit the Kevin Gobrecht Memorial Fund and will be tied in with the proceeds from the Gobrecht Challenge.

Tickets are $3 for 5 tickets or $5 for 10. Tickets will be on sale Saturday, June 13th and June 20th, at the Brian Leppo t-shirt stand. Mrs. Leppo will also have these raffle tickets at Williams Grove, over the next 2 weeks.
