Kevin Gobrecht Memorial NSCBBA Challenge

The NSCBBA is pleased to announce the date and time for the Second Annual Kevin Gobrecht NSCBBA Challenge. The event is being held in conjunction with the Kevin Gobrecht Memorial Fund, and in accordance with the Gobrecht family, Alan Kreitzer, and the Leiby’s.

On June, 28th beginning at 2:30 p.m. the NSCBBA will be hosting a bean bag toss tournament, featuring 64 contestants, which will be played on the infield grass at Lincoln Speedway, prior to the opening PA Speedweek show, scheduled at 7:30 that evening. All of the proceeds and donations for the event will be presented to the Gobrecht family, later that evening.

Tickets to the event are currently on sale for $25, which covers your entrance to the tournament festivities and admission to the race. All of the money collected from admission to the tournament, beyond the cost of admission to the race, is considered a donation. There are a number of ways to enter the tournament. There is a sign up sheet in the Lincoln Speedway Office, there is also a sign-up thread on the Lincoln Speedway Message Board, or you may inquire with any of the NSCBBA members that you might see. Pre-entry to the event is required and the entry deadline is Saturday, June 21st. Only 64 competitors will be allowed to sign up for this event and it is first come, first serve. Anyone is eligible to participate that is 15 years of age or older. Don’t be surprised to see a few of your drivers in attendance. We look forward to an even larger turnout than last year.

First Annual
Billy Kimmel Memorial Golf Tournament

We hope you will join us for the First Annual, Bill Kimmel Memorial Invitational Golf Tournament, presented by Panchos Racing Products, Coldren Motorsports and Tractor N Trailer, Inc. on Thursday, May 22nd, 2008. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., until 8:30 a.m. This four-person scramble will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a shotgun start.

Keep in mind, only the first 144 players to sign up will be entered in the tournament. This year’s entry fee is $65 per person, or $260 per team. Each team will receive a deli-style lunch during the outing, as well as a hot dinner at the finish of the tournament. Also, there will be a number of door prizes that each participant is eligible to win, including golf equipment, golf apparel, race apparel, race memorabilia, etc.

A very, very, large thank you goes out to Al's Pizza and Subs, in Dillsburg PA. The owner, Bob, has agreed to provide/cater lunch for the Billy Kimmel Memorial Golf Tournament, at his own cost. So the golfers and volunteers will receive a half sub and chips from Al's.

If any of you stop by Al's for their terrific lunch or a quick meal before hitting the Grove, please convey your appreciation to Bob. Let him know how much we appreciate his assistance.
